I came to know about the JOI through very informative and inspirational messages that Dr Johnson Odakkal Sir used to sent. I used to know him as a maritime historian. But his messages and the content on JOI website made me realize how this navy veteran applied his navigation skills to navigating the unbound ocean of life. I then applied for DISC based personal navigation plan. I appeared for a kind of a test or survey and i got a report based on my responses. The report gave me a detailed idea of my behavioral and personality traits. I realized how i see myself, how others see me, how to find out personality of others in our workplaces and most importantly how to build sensible communication consciously while dealing with the people of different kinds. All this was practically made possible by the one to one sessions with Dr Johnson Odakkal Sir. He helped to read and interpret the report and sessions with him gave me meaningful insights. At that point, I was treading through rough waters in my life and felt the need to sign up for personalized coaching program. For about 3 issues selected me I received coaching. Johnson Sir was very friendly, frank and approachable throughout this journey. He helped in finding ways and means to all my problems, all through discussions and through dictation. I also got an opportunity to attend one day JOI Leadership Summit. It brought very new insights. I used to think of leader as someone who lead a team. I realized that one also has to lead himself! I can be the leader of my life, and everyone has a mission to accomplish and has a Big Message to to share and pass so as to touch the lives of others positively. The information that I got in this summit made me to apply for the Working Genius Assessment Report followed by explanation sessions. It helped me know my working styles especially at workplace, and my strengths and weaknesses. I am practically using the guidance I received through DISC personality assessment and working genius reports. In my opinion, these are extremely important tools to make our life productive and meaningful.
